Basement Floor Coating
Basement floor coating that changes a cold grey slab into a dry, bright surface for a rec room, home gym, laundry or hobby room.
View Basement Floor CoatingGarage floor coating that keeps brine, sand and warm tires from wrecking the slab, laid on ground concrete under flake and a polyaspartic clear coat.
The system starts with diamond grinding and crack filling, then a full-strength epoxy base. Coloured flake is scattered into that wet base, and a clear polyaspartic layer seals everything in. Our insurance covers each garage we take on, and the price arrives itemized before work starts.
The result sweeps clean, hoses off and resists stains far better than plain concrete. It also makes a two car garage feel brighter and more like part of the house.
Salt and freeze-thaw are the two biggest threats to a garage slab in Clarington. Close to the lake, winter days often swing from below zero to above it, so the slush under a parked car melts and refreezes again and again.
Bare concrete drinks up that salty water and slowly scales and pits. Under a sealed garage floor coating the brine just pools in place until a floor squeegee shoves it back outside. On higher ground around Enniskillen and Burketon, where snow piles deeper, a heavier flake broadcast adds extra grip.
Fresh slabs need grinding just as much as old ones. Builders often roll a cure and seal liquid onto new concrete in Brookhill, Southeast Courtice and the North Village in Newcastle, and no garage floor coating can bond over that film.
We grind it off, take a moisture reading and coat once the slab is ready. If you only just moved in, we can measure now and pick a date that suits the concrete. For a job that cures in hours, have a look at our polyaspartic floor coating.
Kits let go because they skip the grinding and go on too thin. An acid scrub cleans the slab but leaves it smooth, and a thin film softens under warm tires and peels within a few winters.
A professional garage floor coating is many times thicker and is bonded to freshly ground concrete. If your kit has already started peeling, it gets stripped as part of concrete floor repair before the new floor goes down.
A double garage usually runs about $3,000 to $6,500 for a full flake and polyaspartic system. Single bays and plain solid colours cost less, while triple garages or heavy crack repair cost more.
Your quote lists the square footage, each repair, the flake blend and every coat. Most garage floor coating jobs take one or two days, and the car can usually return a few days later.
A firm number starts with us standing in your garage. Phone (289) 207-4813 or send a note through the form, and a moisture meter and a box of flake chips will come along to that visit. The Clarington Epoxy Flooring main page shows every other floor we install.
