Garage Floor Coating
Garage floor coating that keeps brine, sand and warm tires from wrecking the slab, laid on ground concrete under flake and a polyaspartic clear coat.
View Garage Floor CoatingPolyaspartic floor coating that cures quickly, stays clear in sunlight and gets most garages back in use within a day or two.
Polyaspartic is a quick-curing clear layer applied over a ground and primed slab, usually with flake chips underneath. It resists scratches better than most epoxy clear coats and does not turn yellow when the sun pours through an open garage door. We carry insurance on it, and the quote spells out each layer.
Salt, slush and warm tires are hard on any garage, and polyaspartic handles all three well. It cures into a hard, dense surface that brine cannot soak into.
That matters by the lake in Courtice, Bowmanville and Newcastle, where winter temperatures cross zero many times a season. It also matters in sunny bays and on any garage floor coating where the door stays open all summer, because the clear layer keeps its colour.
This resin hardens in hours rather than days. In plenty of garages the grinding, base coat, flake and clear layer all happen in a single long day.
Walking on it that evening is usually fine, and parking can resume a day or two later. That helps families with one garage and two cars, and small businesses that cannot close for long.
Polyaspartic resin tolerates cooler conditions than standard epoxy. Slab temperature still gets measured before any mixing starts, because the coating needs a warm enough surface to bond and harden.
From late fall through winter, a garage may need a heater running before and during the job. If yours does, that is noted at the visit and included on the quote.
These two products work best as a team. Epoxy builds a thick base that soaks into the concrete, and polyaspartic forms a hard, clear top that stands up to scratches, salt and sun.
Most of our Clarington garages use exactly that pairing, often with flake epoxy flooring sandwiched between them for colour and grip.
Phone (289) 207-4813 or fill out the form and mention the size of the garage. We will check the slab temperature and moisture, then send an itemized polyaspartic floor coating quote. Other options are on the home page.
